In Humanities we were fresh off of the I Am From project which was supposed to introduce ourselves to our class as we were through our past. This project continued that and was all about looking into the past and learning about ourselves through it. We had to write about ourselves through the lenses of 10 literary devices. For example, one of the devices was setting, so I wrote about the Universe, When starting this project, I knew I'd have a tough time starting most of the passages so I went through and wrote brief notes about what exactly I wanted to write for each of them. This strategy really helped me and I wasted way less time trying to get the perfect first sentence (something I struggle with). All in all, I found this project to be quite fun and interesting,

In Art, we took the 10 passages we had wrote and picked an image to represent them. Then we painted them using watercolor onto a wooden square. I had zero experience with watercolor and it is particularly tricky on wood, so I had to pick up a new skill really quickly. I'm not a master watercolor painter now, but I feel that I did a pretty good job all of them. Art isn't my strong suit, so this project pushed my boundaries a bit and it made me a better and more confident artist.
