This project made us apply our knowledge of forces, energy, and the conservation of energy to make a car, powered by a mousetrap, that had to go at least 5 meters and go straight for 3 meters to hit a target. Overall, I really enjoyed this project because the car wasn't very complicated to build, but my partner and I had to give thought to how we were building it and how our choices would affect the car. Also, there was a great deal of collaboration, not only between my partner and I, but between groups. Everyone was trading ideas and explaining why one thing would work and why another thing wouldn't. The document below is our Lab Report which describes all the changes made and the reasoning behind those changes plus a picture of the final car.
